Funky Grooves is the vibrant follow-up to BRiAN’s heartfelt track Enchantment of Love, which first introduced the vocals and visual performance of portuGAL.
While Enchantment of Love showcased a slow, cinematic composition filled with emotion and depth, Funky Grooves shifts gears entirely—bringing a vibrant dance rhythm to the forefront and highlighting BRiAN’s artistic versatility across genres.
For the first song, Enchantment of Love, BRiAN asked her to sing solely in English, as incorporating multiple languages wasn’t initially part of the vision.
However, as he began creating the follow-up track Funky Grooves, he asked her to translate the English lyrics into Portuguese and perform the verses in both languages.
That creative shift sparked something powerful—it became the inspiration to collaborate with artists around the world, having them sing in English and their native language.
